Hello, Hello!!!!

Soooooo....it's been awhile huh?!?! Let's just say....I've been quiet busy! :) But all in a good way! Besides getting New Year's out of the way, keeping up with Tres, who will be turning 3 in a week and has the energy of about 5 three year olds, still working on my projects, reading and preparing for Roy to come home for a month, I also started working nights again. So this meant (means) getting Tres use to having mommy gone at bedtime. When I made the decision to go back to work, I was excited to go back to a job that I loved before! Then came the thoughts of leaving Tres. This is the first time I have ever left Tres (besides the fun he has staying the night at his uncle's house) and I struggled with this for almost a month. When it came down to the week for me to go to work, I cried almost all week. I was just so worried about Tres not doing well, about him feeling abandoned, about him thinking I was going to be just like daddy and not come home for a long time.

BUT, come the first night, he gave me the "can I go, can I go", my mom got him preoccupied and off to work I went. I had been preparing him for a couple weeks that he would be staying with Grammie and Grandpa and that Grammie would be helping him go to bed at night and then when he woke up, Mommy would be right next to him. Then the next night....."bye mama, see you 'yater'". And while that made me feel good knowing that he was ok with me leaving and that he knew I would come back, I thought it would take just a little more time to be ok with it! :) But I am sooooo happy that he is doing well! I am so thankful that we have my parents looking after him. I never once was worried about the care he was in, but most about his feelings. I just wanted to do what was best for Tres.

Other than that, we are now preparing for Tres' 3rd birthday. It will be the first birthday Roy has been able to spend with Tres since he was born. So, while we are not having a big birthday party for him ON his birthday, we will be spending a few days in Disneyland! :)

And with all that....I want to Thank everyone for still reading....for leaving comments and for understanding my reasoning for not being able to stop by your blogs more often! I hope all of you are doing well and as soon as I get into a groove, I will be able to to comment a lot more on your blogs! Until then, know I am thinking of you all and will be updating again soon! Much love to you all!

Nose in a book....

....is where I have been.

It is crazy to think that I started blogging one year ago tomorrow as a way to keep in touch with family and friends and wound up doing that AND making great bloggy friends too!

Our Christmas went AWESOME! It was the best Christmas I could have asked for! Roy was home, it rained (which I don't remember the last Christmas that we even had clouds here in Southern Cali) and it was just all around WONDERFUL! And now that it's over....I am left wondering what the heck to do now! :) Roy left VERY early Saturday morning and so I have been answering Tres' questions about where Daddy went since then, but he is doing better! Tres did wonderful with Christmas presents and made out like a bandit!

Now...to start the new year tomorrow and all will calm down. Well sorta. Tres' birthday (and my mom's) are in February and THEN things will calm down! :) Until then, I need to find another project to work on. But there is always sticking my nose in a book!!!! Which by the way, I wasn't sure I would find one that I loved as much as Twilight (hehe, Rhonda), but I did and all Thanks to one of my best friends Christine!

She had told me about a series by Diana Gabaldon and I just could never find it, nor could I EVER remember what the authors name was when we were at a bookstore, so she sent me an early birthday present. It was the first 3 books in the 6 book series. I received it WAY before my birthday, but because I was trying to get gifts cross stitched, I never had the opportunity to read, so my mom started the series first. I finally started them and it took me just over two weeks to finish it (last night at 1 am). Roy would even say...."did you hear me? Oh nevermind, put your nose back in the book." It's about a woman who goes back in time about 200 years and finds herself in the Highlands. She is a nurse in her time but has to find other ways of treating the sick in the Highlands without the comforts of the future. The first book is Outlander and is 627 pages long. Never did I ever WANT to put it down...but thought Tres might go around looking like a ragamuffin if I didn't! And the character Claire being a nurse...that is only a fraction of the WONDERFUL story!!!! Thanks Christine for turning me onto these books...BUT DARN YOU!!!! ;) How long can I truly go without a shower!?!?! :)

Ok.....so, I better get going so that I can actually take a shower and then get cookies made! But before that, I will make a little collage of pictures from our last few weeks and post them....ok....maybe AFTER I take a shower....I am pretty stinky! :)

Love to you all!!!!

Sale and an extra!!!!!

I got a message from over the weekend that my cousin Sherri was having a sale on her Etsy site (look on the right hand side to see her link), but she has extended it to my readers. If you purchase a watch or bracelet, and converse with her through her etsy site that you were referred by my blog, she will include a pair of earrings. They are really really pretty too! :) Don't forget that she can make different tons of color coordination and size you may need....just let her know!

Enjoy!!!!

My Birthday

Although I didn't take many pictures, if any....I had a great day. I haven't really been into my birthday lately, not really into getting drunk to celebrate and the economy has squashed the idea of taking everyone out for a nice dinner...BUT THIS YEAR was AWESOME!!!!!!!! It all started with the bestest early birthday present of the tickets for New Kids on The Block....did I tell you I had an AWESOME time and that Danny doesn't look like a monkey anymore (he's quite hot)...but then on Friday I got another Best Gift Ever. My birthday was actually on Saturday and we didn't have too much planned. I had just planned on making dinner here at home and having family over for dinner and then maybe go to a Christmas in the Village gathering. Friday I got the best surprise ever.....Roy!!!! I have never had any guy put so much thought into my birthday as to fly in especially for it!!!!! It was great! So, on Saturday since it was raining and FREEZING out we decided to stay indoors and have a fire, I made spaghetti and fresh bread and we had browine sundaes for dessert. Tres blew out the candles for me, but we only put 3 on there! :)

Thank you to all that emailed, called and texted me on my birthday. I sooooo appreciate it!!!! Now, I am off to crawl back into bed and enjoy my new birthday present....a new tv! :) Much Love to you all!!!!!

Before I post too much....

.....I need to give a great big SHOUT OUT!!!! Now, let me start off by saying...I don't know where the girls in my family got the 'crafty' gene from, but WOW!!! All of the girls have one talent or another or sometimes MULTIPLE talents. One cousin is an awesome photographer...one aunt is a quilter...my grandmother knits/crochets/cross stitches and then there is Sherri! I recently learned she has been keeping a secret! She makes awesome jewelry. I got a few for my birthday and absolutely LOVE them! They are macrame. Yes, you heard me right! Macrame! Actually it's Micro Macrame! Delicate, yet sturdy...fancy, yet can be worn daily with almost anything! Here are a few pictures, but she also has an Etsy store set up. She can custom make things according to size and color preference. They are amazing and are handmade with heart! I set up a link on the right side of my blog (the beautiful bracelet) that you can click on so you can see all the different things she has....AND here are a couple of pictures including 2 bracelets that I have!

I have this one....

And this one....

This one is beautiful....

And I have another one that isn't pictured and one that we gave to Kristin for her birthday that was black and pink. They are just amazing! Great gifts and can I just say....she is speedy to ship too! :)

So...please, stop by her store....see her handy work. They are truly beautiful especially when you think that they are actually macrame! :)

WOW...where did the time go?!?!

Geez....I didn't think that it had been two weeks since I had even logged into ANY site other than my email, but it has...if not longer! So, I thought before I finished decorating for Christmas, I should sit down and just 'jot' down a few of our doings!!! :)

Well, of course....there is THE NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK CONCERT!!!!! Can I just tell you...we had a GREAT time! Kristin and I weren't the only 'foggies' there! And I have been to quite a few concerts, but this is one that had me on my feet SCREAMING the whole time! It was amazing. They sang some of their old songs, some of their new songs, the singles that Jordan and Joe put out on their own. It was AWESOME! Totally rad dude! Now...let me just say...Kristin and I did have to sit back and laugh our arses off at all the girls who went TOTALLY overboard! You know, the ones that dressed in leggings, ponytails pulled off to the side of their heads, and those dressed head to toe NKOTB wear. I mean, there is supporting the group and then there is going overboard! :) But all in all...it was the best time I have had in ages! And, if you would like to see some of what we did, you can go to Youtube (since WE assumed you couldn't bring cameras in but were TOTALLY wrong) and put in New Kids on the Block concert San Diego and see a little or here.....

And here is another!!!!

I am here to tell you THE BLOCK IS BACK!!!!!! They totally made Kristin and I fans all over again! MOM YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!

Then there was Thanksgiving! We had a great time! Our first family Thanksgiving with Roy since Tres was born and it was great! We ate a lot, watched football, and played. I made the entire dinner from top to bottom, with the exception of my SIL bringing brussle sprouts (first time eating them in my life and they weren't to bad) and acorn squash with brown sugar. The food was great and so was the day. Roy actually came home that Monday and then spent Tuesday with my family celebrating my brother's birthday (and I went to the concert) and had his own personal time with Tres. Then Wed. night we decided to go to our old stomping grounds and surprise some friends who didn't know Roy was in town. It had been awhile that Roy and I had been out together without Tres, Grammie had a slumber party with Tres, and we just had an all over great week!!!!!

So with that.....I will start another post on the other great fun I personally have had! :) And maybe some pictures....we'll see! :)

My Mom is THE BEST, a little catching up and I don't know any Jones'.

Ok ladies.....

Here's a little catching up:

MY MOM IS THE BESTEST EVER!!!!! I received an email that I almost deleted because I thought it was a crock of $h^t, but opened it and found out that my mom bought me an early birthday present. She bought me 2 tickets to the New Kids On The Block concert! SHUT UP!!!! I KNOW!!!!! Ok, so....go ahead....I have heard them all...New MEN on the Block....Old Geezers on the Block....New Kids in the Nursing Home...WHATEVER!!!! I'M GOING!!!!!! So....my next delema? Well, not delema, but 'problem'?!?! The concert falls on my little brother's birthday. So, like the nice big sister I try to be-I asked him to go (knowing he would RATHER NOT...but I gave him the option since it was his birthday DAY). He said "well, I guess I'll go with you If you can't find ANYONE else to go. I mean, I would rather not. BUT...I will if nobody else will go." I said, "Thanks. So you won't mind if I am not there on your birthday because I know the next call I make will mean the ticket is taken. BUT if for some reason she can't go...I PROMISE to not tell anyone you had to go with me. I will tell them you had to drive me and my friend didn't show up." He said all was fine, so I made my next call! And in less than a minute, you had two girls screaming and talking a mile a minute as if we were 15 again! Yep....I called Kristin! This is how it went:

Me: What are you doing on the 25th? Can you get a sitter? giggle, giggle, hehehehe
Her: I am sure I can get a sitter...WHY? What's up?
Me: *Giggle, giggle. hee hee hee*
Her: What the heck is going on? Why are you acting like that? Are you getting married or something?
Me: Wanna go to the New Kids concert with me?
Her: HELL YA!!!!!

After that, I can't remember what we said! :) I can't wait! Even if the seats are up in nose bleed....I will be seeing New Kids on The Block AGAIN. The first time I saw them was when they were actual KIDS. We had just moved back here to CA and it was my first concert. My dad dropped me off. And where did he drop me off at....THE SAME PLACE THEY ARE PLAYING AGAIN!!!!! Although it is a new 'arena', it is in the exact same place! :) YEAH! Thanks mom! You are the best!!! LOVE YOU FOREVER AND ALWAYS!!!!!

A little catching up....We aren't exactly sure what is going to happen in these next few months. Just as we thought we would soon be a family, with Roy coming back to the states to go to school, and that we would get to visit with him more often (still hoping that he will be able to come home for Thanksgiving), that he would be stationed here for at least a year after school, we also found out that he may be going back to Iraq in December. Now although it is only 'suppose' to be for 6 months, those in the military or familiar with military life, knows it will probably be longer than that. And this time, he will be in the midst of the fight zone. Soooo.....the next few months will be a rollercoaster ride with the Holiday's coming and the possibility of the 'plans' we made going right out the window. We'll see how it all plays out!

And last....

I know I may not have a lot of readers out there and that's ok. When I started this blog almost a year ago, I was mainly doing it to keep Roy updated while he was overseas and to keep family in other states updated....I never thought about the fact that maybe he wasn't allowed to access the site and that while some in my family are capable of reading blogs, they may not be able to due to slow internet speeds or just lack of time. BUT....I kept blogging all the same. I was however, able to make some great bloggy friends and keep in touch with other friends that I don't get to see often, which those new and old friends are sooooo appreciated and I hope we will be 'together' for a very long time!!!! But if you have been reading my blog for awhile ,you know that the content has been slacking lately.

Well, I have come to the conclusion....I am not and can not keep up with the 'Jones'. I don't know how some of you do it, but I just can't! I can't find the time anymore. And not because I am running off to this play group or that...or running around doing this errand or that....just because I just don't have the time! I am just enjoying EVERY minute of being a stay at home mom and I am getting so much time with Tres to get to know him!!!! To love on him and hug on him and play with thim, sometimes to yell at him to stop playing in the dog water, or stop laying on the cats, but most of the time it is just to play!!!! To watch him grow, to see him evolve from an infant to an active toddler to a VERY ACTIVE LITTLE BOY!!!! To watch him learn, watch him find talents, and really....just to WATCH! So gone are the daily entries, the ones made during the mornings as I had done before and those made at night after Tres fell asleep. I zonk out when Tres zonks out! Even if it is at 8 pm!

I hope you are all doing well. I will continue posting my Friday Fill-in's and when something exciting is happening....maybe even a photo or two...but until next time....

I'M GOING TO SEE NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK!!!!!!!! LOVE YOU MOM....YOU GOT THE RIGHT STUFF!!!!! :)
